Ganal “Converta-Cage” has been designed to avoid such problems. It is a robust cage that is unobstructed (diaphanous), and without nooks and dark areas where parasites tend to hide. The cage structure is formed by open stretcher bars each measuring 84 cm (such as supports and legs). Feeding troughs have been designed not only to avoid feed waste, but due to the open channels, avoid dark areas which eliminate the possibility of parasites and make it easier to clean.
The Ganal “Converta-Cage” owes its name to its simple ability to convert a traditional cage into an enriched cage. It is as simple as taking off the walls or separations and easily installing the welfare accessories. This process usually aids the producer in their fight against the parasites. For this reason, Ganal has designed their accessories to help farmers to have a better working life.
Included in this process is an easy way to install perches in the cage frames, galvanized-plasticized wire mesh to avoid dirty and useless floor mats, sand bath without augers and nests located in the walls.
