Lighting is a necessary component of all agricultural production processes. We offer both the technology and the knowledge for improved farming methods that increase agricultural productivity while minimising the use of production inputs.
Energy-Efficient. Agricultural Lighting
Our systems use LED bulbs, which are significantly more energy-efficient than traditional or other energy saving-bulbs such as Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) and Halogen bulbs.
By reducing energy consumption, our systems also dramatically reduce the levels of carbon emissions released.
Research and development
AgriLamp™ collaborates with leading universities and institutes to continually expand our research and development capabilities. A number of projects are underway to investigate the potential of LEDs to increase agricultural yields beyond the scope of energy efficiency.
Through these projects, AgriLamp™ is maximising the benefits of LEDs on production processes by better understanding how LEDs contribute to improved animal metabolic efficiency, mortality rates, and a reduction in food waste and loss, through precision farming methods.
Global Capacity Building
AgriLamp™ understands that the successful application of more efficient food systems will require high levels of multi-stakeholder and cross-dimensional cooperation.
As such, AgriLamp™ is pro-actively pursuing collaborative and commercial partnerships with international organizations, governments, universities, and agricultural and farming scientists to build a universal knowledge-sharing platform that ensures farmers and relevant stakeholders in all agricultural regions have access to the latest best practices, research and technology regarding effective light systems management and more productive agricultural processes.
Efficient Light Managment
Determining the correct levels of lighting and light manipulation during production processes is essential in order to maximise agricultural yields. Livestock and plants need varying light “recipes” during their different stages of life in order to maintain healthy and efficient growth.
Effective light management contributes to:
• Decreased mortality rates
• Reductions in waste and loss
• Improved metabolic efficiency
• Improved animal and plant welfare
• Maximised feed-conversion ratios
