ALTERION NE® is an innovative probiotic developed by Adisseo in collaboration with Novozymes.
Beside the strict selection of the strain of Bacillus subtilis DSMZ 29784 to fulfil the different regulations and to show a consistent effect on the zootechnical performances of the animals, the product also has to be easy to add in feed, without facing bad homogeneity or demixing.
ALTERION NE® is composed of Bacillus subtilis spores DSMZ 29784 on a calcium carbonate support.The efficient dosage of ALTERION NE® is of 10E08 spores of B subtilis 29784 per kg of complete feed, and this amount is reached by using 10 g of commercial product. These spores, on carbonate support, are two elements found in many commercial products.
Spores are not easy to handle on their own (very small, electrostatic...), and the difference of size with the carrier is a real issue for a good dosing and mixing in premix and feed.
The innovation of ALTERION NE® is that the spores are "glued" on the particles of calcium carbonate, allowing a good quality of mixing and a better delivery to the animals.
