Biofilm occurs anywhere water accumulates. This slimy layer causes is built of proteins produced by bacteria. The biofilm provides the feeding base/foundation and provides protection for all kinds of bacteria who hide and multiply in the biofilm. Eliminating the biofilm eliminates the bacteria problem”. By tuning to the correct frequencies, the bacteria are eliminated and can be flushed out.
This makes it possible to deactivate the bacteria in stagnant water. In contrast to chemical treatments, there is no re-colonisation because the bacteria have died off and the nutrient substrate and adhesive layer have been eliminated at the same time.
