The autosexable TETRA-SL is selected for high performance under intensive and extensive conditions. So it is equally recommended for both large and small scale producers. The TETRA-SL brown-egg laying hybrid is internationally well known for its outstanding egg production and excellent egg quality. The total egg mass during 52 weeks is more than 21 kg. Owing to its extreme stress tolerance it is well adaptable to varying environmental conditions. The TETRA-SL can be managed easily under deep litter as well as in laying cage systems.
Concerning the feed-conversion rate the TETRA-SL is competitive with any other brown egg layers. To eliminate feed wastage, under certain conditions it is advisable to trim the pullets at the age of 6-7 days. This measure does not retard the development of the chicks, it has no remarkable stress and it can be executed easily.
