Amasil® BASF Animal Nutrition, North America has launched Amasil® NA in collaboration with Balchem, a leading animal nutrition company, in the United States. This feed acidifier improves feed hygiene and modifies gut microflora for improved animal performance and helps to control transmission of pathogenic bacteria like Salmonella into the food chain. Amasil® NA contains formic acid, which is very effective in specifically preventing the growth of bacteria such as E. coli or Salmonella. Amasil® NA is used in livestock animals’ diets around the world. Amasil®‘s reputation in Europe, but also local trial results in the U.S., are of great importance to customers.
